Joann has been a paralegal since August 2012. She has been with our firm since December 2016, and manages all aspects of discovery and paralegal support for the firm. She has a Bachelor of Arts from Grand Valley State University. She earned her Paralegal Certificate and a Master of Science from Sullivan University in Kentucky in 2013. Joann has a diverse legal background and experience, working in the areas of family law, criminal defense and extensive civil litigation.



Experienced legal professional currently performing as a paralegal with a reputation for professionalism, integrity, resourcefulness, and sensitivity to cultural diversity. Over 14 years of hands-on legal experience in case management, compliance and risk management, and coordinating daily administrative functions and events. Knowledge in Michigan No-Fault policies. Skilled in drafting pleadings, research, document summaries, and litigation support. Familiarity with policy changes that occur with the Department of Labor (“DOL”) and the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (“USCIS”). Proven skill in managing large volumes of information and facilitating multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment. Hobbies include travel, attending sporting events, live concerts, and spending quality time with family. Graduated from Eastern Michigan University with a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) focused in Communication, General Business.



Laila has four years of legal experience as a paralegal and Has a degree in Business at University of Michigan-Dearborn, where she is pursuing a degree in Business Administration. She earned her Paralegal Certificate from Baker College in 2016. Laila is a veteran of the firm to assist our successful personal injury practice, handling client intake, pre-litigation, and litigated claims. Prior to Koussan Hamood PLC, Laila worked at a large personal injury practice in Southfield.



Graciela has four years of legal experience as a Paralegal and two years as an experienced Records Clerk. She earned her Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) focused in Paralegal Studies with a Minor in Criminal Justice from Madonna University in 2015. Prior to Koussan Hamood, PLC, Graciela worked at a Personal Injury Firm located in Ann Arbor.



Ollie Ajami earned his Bachelor's of Business Administration from Grand Valley State University in 2017. Ollie played quarterback at GVSU and was the President of the GVSU Law Society. Ollie is currently a third-year student at Wayne State University's Law School. During law school, Ollie was a finalist in Wayne State's 2018 Mock Trial Competition and now serves on the Executive Board for the program. Ollie was also a finalist in Wayne States NFL Contract Negotiation Competition.<br /> Ollie gained experience working for three other law firms before joining Koussan Hamood. Ollie is also a judicial intern at the Wayne County 3d Circuit Court. Some of Ollie's hobbies include playing basketball, spending time with his family, and coaching young student-athletes.
